Alexa no longer offers free access to its website ranking tools. Before Amazon acquired the company, users could create a free account, claim a website, edit its details, and choose a default ranking country.
The service later moved those controls behind paid plans. Existing account details remained visible, but users had to subscribe before they could edit them. Logging in could also redirect the account holder to an upgrade page.

The change also removed the option to switch countries and compare a site's rank across different markets.
Alexa Internet, Inc. was founded in 1996. The California company supplied web traffic data and analytics before Amazon acquired it in 1999. In 2015, Alexa said its rankings covered 30 million websites and that more than 6.5 million people visited its site each month.

The original service reported traffic data and global rankings for millions of websites. If you still rely on an older Alexa report, I recommend checking the date and comparing it with a current analytics source before making a decision.
